There are weeks in my life that are like an early morning commute: I wake up Monday morning, get on board, and somehow I end up at Friday without any memory of what route I took. This was one of those weeks. Trying to remember individual days requires too much mental effort. What did we have for dinner that night? Which day was it that I volunteered at the elementary school?
It has been a week of bad dreams. My husband dreamed of a fire. He was blowing through a straw to put it out. I dreamed of a sick child, not my own. In our waking hours our thoughts are with a friend, for whom we can do nothing but hope. Could he hear us as we stood by his bed last night?
I let my middle child stay home from preschool today. I’m watching him play with his sister. I’m reading them books, playing their games, letting them use all the good pillows today for their forts. Trying to make this a day to remember.

So important to make today a day to remember since it's all we really have, huh?

Stopping from Mom Loop! It sounds like you made a great decision for the day!
Today was my focus on my family day…I did a little less time with my projects and tried to focus more on my two little boys.
Sounds like you made a great choice!
